Baby Shower Weekend!

We had a very busy and FUN weekend! ….which left me totally and completely exhausted and made it REALLY hard to come to work Monday morning, but it was such a blessing.

Saturday was our very first BABY SHOWER!  My sisters and sister-in-law planned a fun, family cookout to celebrate with my side of the family.

We ate hamburgers and onion dip (a special family recipe), opened gifts and visited with family.

Phoebe’s diaper cake from her aunts!

This is a cradle that my uncle (my dad’s brother) built for my parents when they were expecting their first child (my sister)

We are SO excited to use this family heirloom with Phoebe!

Thank you to our hostesses!

(From L to R) Aunt Rebekah, Aunt Emma, Aunt Erin, and Aunt Chelsea, and we wish Aunt Jennifer could have been here!)

Me and My Mom “Nonna”

We are so blessed to be surrounded by supportive family who are excited to celebrate with us!

THEN on Sunday we had another baby shower with the ladies from our church!  My friend, Alison, was our “official photographer” so as soon as I get pictures from her I will share those as well.  But I can’t begin to show my appreciation for our church family and for their care and support of us through this time.  We love you CCC!

AND after the shower Sunday afternoon, we kicked off our Community Group for the fall! We have really missed seeing our group every Sunday and fellowshipping with them, so we are so excited to see how we all grow in community this fall.

Phew! I feel tired all over again just from writing it!  And this week I’m in high gear at work for our Children’s Clothing Consignment Sale for Missions, so no rest for the weary!

Hope y’all had a great weekend!
