This week I’m continuing this series about some simple things you can do in just 5 minutes to improve your day (of course, you could definitely spend more than 5 minutes, but if you can just give 5 it will be an improvement to your day). We are all busy people with busy lives and finding time for one more thing in our week or day can be such a challenge. But what if we took those things that we KNOW are good for us and would improve our day and found just 5 minutes to spend on them? Here’s one example.
Clean One Area of Your Home
Stopping your day to clean your house might seem impossible, but if you could just take a quick 5 minutes and clean up one area, wouldn’t that improve the way you feel about your home? If you can, take five minutes and clean that one area of your house that makes you feel like it’s clean: Load the dishwasher, straighten the coffee table, pick up the items from the floor and sofas in the living room (what? We all have items that collect in that area..don’t we??) or just fold one load of laundry. Set a timer for 5 minutes and work as quickly as you can to accomplish one task, than reward yourself for a job well done!
Later this week I’ll be writing more about some specific ways to clean in 5 minutes, be sure to check it out!
What is one area or task you can complete in 5 minutes that will improve your day?

Great idea! I feel so much better when I have at least one area/thing the way I like it: clean/orderly!
What a practical, helpful solution. If I look at things in five-minute increments, instead of huge long five-hour jobs, it will all be more manageable. Thank you for this.
