Get Moving!

This week I’m writing about some simple things you can do in just 5 minutes to improve your day (of course, you could definitely spend more than 5 minutes, but if you can just give 5 it will be an improvement to your day).  We are all busy people with busy lives and finding time for one more thing in our week or day can be such a challenge. But what if we took those things that we KNOW are good for us and would improve our day and found just 5 minutes to spend on them? Here’s one example.

 

Get Moving!

I don’t know about you, but I can tell a major difference in my body when I haven’t moved around enough (and I work in an office, so there are plenty of days when I don’t move around much).  I feel tired and achy and sometimes just ill.

Too often we give up “working out” because we don’t have time for a trip to the gym or a “full workout”.  But really we just need to move around!  And even just 5 minutes of getting your heart rate up and stretching your muscles in a step in the right direction.

Try some simple movements and stretches for 5 minutes (and maybe even several 5 minute increments throughout the day) to help your body out.

You can:

Stretch out your arms, legs, back and neck

Run in place or do jumping jacks

Do some wall pushups

Do Leg lifts

Do squats.

Or try Working Out in Pajamas
