Make a List

This week I’m writing about some simple things you can do in just 5 minutes to improve your day (of course, you could definitely spend more than 5 minutes, but if you can just give 5 it will be an improvement to your day).  We are all busy people with busy lives and finding time for one more thing in our week or day can be such a challenge. But what if we took those things that we KNOW are good for us and would improve our day and found just 5 minutes to spend on them? Here’s one example.

How often do you get to the end of the day and feel like it’s been a whirlwind of activity, and yet, you didn’t really accomplish anything?

Take 5 minutes in the morning and make a list of the 5 most important things for you to do today.

(If you have more than 5, pick which ones are the top priority for TODAY and list them.  If you get to other things, just consider it a bonus!)

Write this list somewhere you can see it or keep with you throughout the day.  Stay encouraged by crossing these things off as you accomplish them.

Taking just 5 minutes to prioritize gives you a purpose for the day.  At the end of the day when you might be probably are feeling exhausted and like you haven’t had a productive day, look at your list and see that you did what was most important and congratulate yourself.

What are some of your usual “Top 5″ for the day?
